Location: Newton-le-Willows

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Semi Senior to join an established accountancy practice in Newton-le-Willows.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts professional with 2-3 years' experience gained within an accountancy practice who is looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within practice.

The successful candidate will ideally be part-qualified ACA or ACCA and will have strong experience in accounts preparation. Previous audit experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

andmiddot; Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

andmiddot; Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies

andmiddot; Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships

andmiddot; Ensure accounts are prepared accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting standards

andmiddot; Assist with tax compliance work where required

andmiddot; Liaise with clients regarding accounts preparation and routine accounting queries

andmiddot; Work closely with senior members of the team to ensure client deadlines are met

andmiddot; Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively

andmiddot; Assist with audit assignments where required

andmiddot; Contribute to the wider accounts team and support the delivery of a high-quality service to clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

andmiddot; 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice

andmiddot; ACA or ACCA part-qualified

andmiddot; Strong experience in preparing company, sole trader and partnership accounts

andmiddot; Previous audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential

andmiddot; Good technical accounting knowledge

andmiddot; Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

andmiddot; Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

andmiddot; Good written and verbal communication skills

andmiddot; Strong organisational skills

andmiddot; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

andmiddot; A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop within practice
