Job Description:

We're recruiting on behalf of an established engineering fabrication business in Birmingham for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their busy workshop on a temp-to-perm basis, with a permanent position offered to the right candidate after a qualifying period.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering a genuine mix of fabrication work - no repetitive production-line output. You'll be working across stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, producing quality fabricated components and assemblies from engineering drawings.

What you'll be doing:

• Fabricating in stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel
• TIG welding (particularly stainless steel and aluminium)
• MIG welding
• Sheet metal folding and forming
• Guillotine cutting
• Press brake operation
• Rolling/forming sheet materials
• Working accurately from engineering drawings

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator in an industrial/engineering environment
• Strong TIG welding skills, ideally on stainless and aluminium
• Confident MIG welding ability
• Experience with press brake, guillotine and folding equipment
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings unsupervised
• Good attention to detail and a quality-first approach
