MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC
Location: Southampton
Salary: £34,000 - £37,500 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday

The Role
andmiddot;Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial rental vehicles
andmiddot;Inspecting vehicle systems and components to ensure they are safe and operating correctly
andmiddot;Identifying worn or defective components and carrying out repairs or replacement
andmiddot;Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and accurately
andmiddot;Test driving vehicles where appropriate and where the correct driving licence is held
andmiddot;Accurately recording all work completed on the relevant computer systems
andmiddot;Completing paperwork and job handovers to the Workshop Manager / Lead Technician
andmiddot;Ensuring vehicles are left in a safe and roadworthy condition
andmiddot;Working safely and maintaining high workshop standards

What We're Looking For
andmiddot;NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
andmiddot;Previous experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicles
andmiddot;Full UK, Irish or EU Class C or CE manual driving licence
andmiddot;Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
andmiddot;A proactive and detail-focused approach
andmiddot;Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work
andmiddot;A genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and developing their technical skills
