The Role
As a Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children at the beginning of their educational journey, helping them develop the essential skills, confidence and curiosity they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning through play.
Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
Monitoring and assessing children's progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Building positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence, curiosity and a love of learning.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a caring, enthusiastic and motivated teacher with a genuine passion for Early Years education.
You will ideally have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within Reception or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A creative approach to teaching and learning through play.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
