Secondary Teacher - Darlington

We are recruiting on behalf of secondary schools across Darlington seeking dedicated and passionate Teachers to support students in KS3, KS4 and KS5 settings. About the role:
- Teaching students aged 11-19 across KS3, KS4 and KS5, depending on your subject specialism and experience.
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and target setting.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to support student outcomes.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school, including pastoral responsibilities where required.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay: -140 - -220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Full-time, temporary position with the potential to become permanent
- Start Date: September 2026
- Location: Darlington
Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting is essential.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality education.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to process a new application.
- Professional child-related references covering the last two years.
