Location: Reading
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 DOE + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 4 Saturdays Mornings
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and customer-focused Service Planner / Administrator to join a busy Commercial Vehicle Service.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with experience in automotive, HGV, LCV, service administration or workshop planning. You will be responsible for booking vehicles into the workshop, supporting customers throughout the repair process and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Service Department.

The Role:
andmiddot;Book vehicles in for servicing, maintenance, MOTs and additional repair work
andmiddot;Manage workshop bookings and help maximise available workshop capacity
andmiddot;Contact customers to arrange appointments and carry out outbound booking calls
andmiddot;Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicles
andmiddot;Raise and prepare job cards and repair orders
andmiddot;Assist with job card processing and administration
andmiddot;Invoice completed MOT tests for the HGV MOT ATF
andmiddot;Raise and process invoices accurately
andmiddot;Order parts and arrange subcontract work when required
andmiddot;Carry out post-service follow-up calls with customers
andmiddot;Promote additional workshop services and repairs where appropriate
andmiddot;Maintain accurate vehicle history, service records and documentation
andmiddot;Scan and file job cards and support general department administration
andmiddot;Assist with parts and labour sales to support branch targets
andmiddot;Work closely with the Service Manager, workshop and wider service team
What We're Looking For:
andmiddot;Previous experience in a Service Advisor, Service Administrator, Workshop Planner or similar role
andmiddot;Automotive, HGV or LCV experience would be highly advantageous
andmiddot;Excellent customer service and communication skills
andmiddot;Strong administration and organisational abilities
andmiddot;Excellent attention to detail
andmiddot;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
andmiddot;A proactive and positive "can-do" attitude
andmiddot;Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use your own initiative
andmiddot;Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
andmiddot;Basic technical understanding and confidence working with systems and administrative processes
