TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a lovely mainstream primary school in Mansfield, looking to welcome a friendly and dedicated Teaching Assistant to their team. With a Forest School provision that gives children the chance to explore, discover and learn outdoors, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a school where learning goes beyond the classroom.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a long-term basis, starting immediately, supporting children across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. You'll be working closely with class teachers, helping pupils with their day-to-day learning, providing that extra encouragement when things get tricky, and celebrating the little wins that make such a big difference.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
At least 3 months' experience working in a UK school
Experience supporting children in KS1 and/or KS2
A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines
A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children
A genuine passion for helping young learners grow in confidence and achieve their best
